NEW YORK – Police from Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Delaware have joined forces to assist in chartering a credit union to serve the New York City Police Department.

Tentatively called "The Finest Federal Credit Union," Chicago Patrolmen’s FCU, Delaware State Police FCU, and Police FCU in Washington have appropriated $100,000 each to assist in obtaining a charter for the credit union.
Paul McCormack, deputy inspector of the NYPD, is slated to be future chairman of the Finest Federal, according to organizers. The goal is to have the credit union organized prior to the fifth annual Police Officers’ Credit Union Conference set for May
