ALBANY, N.Y. – SEFCU celebrated another successful year with the addition of two more Buffalo-area branches over the past few weeks.

The two additions, one in Buffalo and one in Amherst, are an outgrowth of the $1.7 billion credit union’s 2006 acquisition of local Niagara Frontier State Employees FCU, which had a single Buffalo office.

SEFCU, formerly the State Employees FCU, grew its assets by 13% last year and reported $6.7 million in net income, down from $11.3 million in 2007.

New York’s seventh largest credit union also has branches in the Albany, Syracuse and Binghamton areas.
