FOREST CITY, N.C. – The State Employees CU Foundation will present a check Monday for $300,000 to the Hospice of Rutherford County.
The $300,000 gift is a result of the "Hands of Hope" Campaign, a capital campaign aimed at providing a response to the demand for hospice services in Rutherford County.
Earlier this week, the $17 billion credit union giant provided a grant of $750,000 to Home Health and Hospice Care, Inc. (3HC) for the expansion of Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. The grant will be used to expand Kitty Askins by 13,000 square feet, increasing it from a 12 to a 24-bed facility.
