RALEIGH, N.C. – State Employees CU reported another kind of housing boom here–the sale of more than 50,000 Bluebird houses. The money raised, an estimated $500,000, will go to benefit the Eastern Bluebird Rescue Group, which helps replace the tiny birds’ natural habitats that are being destroyed by the depletion of tress and natural forests. The Bluebird houses are still being sold in all 213 branches of the credit union.
