ROME, Ga. – Northwest Georgia CU has appointed Michelle Stricklin its new president and CEO, succeeding Cheryl Huffman, who retired last year after 22 years at the helm of the $47 million credit union.
Stricklin, who has been serving as interim CEO since last August, has been with the credit union since 1994 and was most recently its director of accounting and human resources.
Huffman spent a total of 25 years with the credit union, working her way up the corporate ladder, first to collections manager, then to president and CEO just two years after going to work there.
