CUBG Hits $2B In Loans Reviewed
PORTLAND, Ore.-Since its inception in 2002, CU Business Group, LLC, has reviewed more than $2 billion in member business loans on behalf of credit unions.
CUBG compiled industry business loan quality data from June 30, 2009, NCUA and FDIC reports. The data showed CUs' delinquencies and charge-offs remain consistently lower than their banking counterparts. The data shows delinquencies of 5.32% for all banks and 5.59% for banks with less than $1 billion in assets as compared with 4.23% for all credit unions. Net charge-offs for all banks were 0.76% and 0.43% for banks with less than $1 billion in assets. For credit unions, charge-offs were 0.38%. CUBG credit unions showed delinquencies of 1.15% and charge-offs of 0.25%.

CUNA Selects Panini, Vision X
DAYTON, Ohio-Panini, a provider of distributed check capture, said it is the exclusive check scanner alliance provider of CUNA Strategic Services (CSS), a subsidiary organization of the Credit Union National Association.
Panini's Vision X family of check scanners and the newly released Panini I:Deal are available to credit unions under this new agreement. The company said the scanners will allow CUs to focus on providing remote deposit capture (RDC) to their business members and the ability to implement a scalable branch image capture (BIC) solution.
