Minn. Expands Service Centers
ST. PAUL, Minn.-Minnesota brought its number of credit union service centers to 27 after St. Paul FCU added two new locations to Shared Branching. Minnesota's Shared Branching network currently serves members of participating credit unions at numerous locations both in the Twin Cities and outside the metro area.

Altura CU Subscribes To Magazine
LOS ANGELES, Calif.-Altura CU has renewed its "subscription" to Money Matters, the syndicated credit union magazine. Money Matters launched with its premiere issue in January of 2006.
Money Matters was launched as a way to offer a better perspective on financial services that represents the credit union philosophy. It brands credit unions as trustworthy, sophisticated, member advocates that offer complete financial services and educates members on financial strategies, products and services for the benefit of long-term financial success.
CUcorp Adds Discover Network
LIVONIA, Mich.-CUcorp, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Michigan league, has added Discover Network as its preferred partner for affinity/co-branded credit cards. Through CUcorp's referral program, participating CUs will have the opportunity to issue credit cards on the Discover Network. It can be used as a stand-alone product or as a supplement to an existing card program, CUcorp said. Among the benefits of the card is Perks eShop, a shopping website, and the Perks Everyday Rewards Program.
Symitar Announces Virtual Meeting
SAN DIEGO-Symitar has announced its annual Educational Conference for its Episys clients will be held virtually. The company said it was making the move in "response to the many unexpected challenges its credit union clients are likely to face as the result of the corporate credit union crisis." The company said the meeting, typically held in San Diego, averaged more than 700 attendees each year.

FSCC Offers Fraud Prevention Award
SAN DIMAS, Calif.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative Inc. (FSCC) reported it is awarding credit unions for stopping over $1.5 million in fraud activity for 2008. More than 60 of the Fraud Buster Awards were made during the year to CUs in the shared branching network. FSCC said that over the past eight years the awards have been in place credit unions have stopped over $6.5 million from fraudulent activities.
