Adobe and Wolters Kluwer Team Up

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Adobe Systems Incorporated and Minneapolis-based Wolters Kluwer Financial Services have teamed up to provide lenders with a new option for delivering mortgages electronically.

The companies will work together to provide integration between Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' Expere Integrated Enterprise (IE) solution and Adobe LiveCycle interactive process management software.

The Expere IE solution serves as a repository for data compiled for a financial institution's mortgage documents. When data is added, deleted, or changed in the repository, appropriate updates are automatically made to all of the documents.

WCTFCU Selects Lending Solutions

ELGIN, Ill.-Lending Solutions Inc. announced that Waterbury Connecticut Teachers FCU (WCTFCU) contracted with Lending Solutions Inc. (LSI) for loan-by-phone and online lending services.

The credit union has also signed on to protect its members from identity theft through LSI's Identity Shield product offered through a partnership with RelyData, LLC of Chicago, Ill.

Mortgage Center Reaches $1B

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.-Southfield-based Mortgage Center marked a significant milestone recently when the company's servicing portfolio reached $1 billion.

The loan that nudged the company's portfolio above the $1 billion mark was closed by Jeff Wentland, a first-time homebuyer and member of Credit Union Advantage, located in Southfield, Michigan.

To celebrate, Mortgage Center's CEO, Dave Toepp, presented Wentland with a Home Depot gift card worth $200.

SECU Selects XCU Capital

RALEIGH, N.C.-State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) has selected XCU Capital Corp. to provide brokerage services to its members. Registered reps of XCU Capital, which is a CUSO of California-based Xerox FCU, will be in branches.

Those reps are salaried employees of the credit union and not paid on commission. The $13.6 billion SECU said it is offering brokerage services as a follow-up to the Financial Assessment Tool introduced to members in January 2006.

CUALN Finances $193 Million

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-The Credit Union Auto Loan Network (CUALN) financed more than $193 million in auto loans in 2006, a 134% increase over 2005. CUALN outpaced all area banks, second only to the financing arms of car companies. CUALN is made up of 15 CUs working with 250 dealerships and powered by Aimbridge Indirect Lending.

Goldleaf Financial Buys CBS

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.-Goldleaf Financial Solutions, Inc., a provider of a suite of technology-based products and services to community financial institutions, today announced the acquisition of Dallas-based Community Banking Systems (CBS). CBS specializes in Check 21 solutions, including image import, image cash letter creation, substitute check creation, image quality assurance and advanced sort pattern logic.

CBS will become a business unit of Goldleaf Financial Solutions, and its executive management team, including President Sean Pennock and Jeremy Cockrill, chief software architect, will join Goldleaf and continue to provide leadership to the image delivery business unit, based in Dallas, Texas.

SWBC Offers Auto Title Service

SAN ANTONIO, Texas-Southwest Business Corporation (SWBC) announced the expansion of SWBC Auto Title Services. SWBC Auto Title Services provides motor vehicle registration and title services to dealers, financial institutions, and the general public in Texas.

SWBC Auto Title Services offers transfer of ownership, title registration and renewals, and license plates for cars, recreational vehicles, and motorcycles. In addition the company will also handle temporary permits and notary services.

Whenever buying or selling a vehicle in Texas, state law requires the vehicle be titled and registered in the buyer's name within 20 working days.

CU24 Plans CU Survey

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-Credit Union 24, the regional credit union EFT network, has contracted for a comprehensive research of credit union participants. The credit union-owned network wants to gain a better understanding of credit unions' perceptions and preferences regarding network and transactions processing services. Network officials will discuss the results at its April 25 Executive Summit in Orlando.
