Numerica CU Joins Money Matters

SPOKANE, Wash.-Numerica Credit Union is the first non-California-based credit union to join the Money Matters magazine cooperative. Money Matters launched with its premiere issue in January 2006 and is a quarterly magazine with half shared content and half unique content for participating credit unions.

The magazine goes to 460,000 credit union members from 10 different credit unions, making it one of the top 200 magazines in the country in circulation.

Other participating credit unions include Addison Avenue FCU, Altura CU, American First CU, Commonwealth Community CU, Los Angeles Firemen's CU, San Mateo CU, Technology CU, Telesis Community CU and Vista FCU.

CU Lending Signs Six Clients

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-CU Lending, Inc., a mortgage CUSO, said it is teaming with six Alabama credit unions via a partnership with BlueStar Mortgage Co., to broaden the array of products being made available, with offerings "for all members whether they have good or imperfect credit history," the company said.

"This is just the beginning of a great partnership with BlueStar Mortgage; most of the credit unions we talk to are interested in the variety of options we can make available to their members, it's just a matter to getting them enrolled in the program," said CU Lending VP and Alabama league CEO Gary Wolter.

SSFCU Chooses MemberCONNECT

MADISON, Wis.-Security Service Federal Credit Union of San Antonio, Texas has chosen CUNA Mutual Group's direct marketing program, MemberCONNECT, to deliver Auto and Homeowners insurance to its nearly 600,000 members.

"First and foremost, we wanted a turnkey insurance program that brought value to our members," said Keith Sultemeier, CFO of Security Service FCU.

MemberCONNECT uses direct mail, face-to-face, Internet and inbound call center channels to target services to the right members at the right time. CU members do not receive cold calls.

Systemware and FIS Partner

ADDISON, Texas-Enterprise content management vendor Systemware and Fidelity National Information Services announced an agreement to integrate Systemware's technology into the FIS suite of banking applications.

Officials from both companies said the partnership will provide CUs with a high-value solution for becoming paperless, a complex process involving many data sources and technologies plus regulatory hurdles.
