Fifth Third Adds Mobile Solution

CINCINNATI-Fifth Third Processing Solutions, which processes accounts for more than 1,000 credit unions, has introduced its own version of a mobile deposits solution, with 3i Infotech. The new solution, known as 3i Infotech eCapture mobile check deposit, will allow members to deposit paper checks anytime, anywhere by taking photos of the checks via their smartphones and submitting them through a secure electronic application provided by 3i Infotech.

 

COCC, mFoundry Enter Partnership

AVON, Conn.-COCC has entered into a partnership with mFoundry to deliver multi-mode mobile banking services (text, mobile web and mobile apps). The mFoundry platform integrates directly with COCC's .Net and Oracle-based core processing platform for real-time information and transaction processing. The integrated service will be marketed by COCC as Mobile INSIGHT, with monthly fees waived for COCC's core processing clients through 2012.

MECU Selects CSCU Solution

TAMPA, Fla.-Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU) reported that Motorola Employees CU (MECU) is now offering members a full suite of mobile banking services, including downloadable apps for the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, SMS Text Banking and a universal mobile browser app, through a partnership with CSCU and MShift, Inc.

FSCC Cuts Fees On Text Banking

ONTARIO, Calif.-Financial Service Centers Cooperative has reduced fees on its MyCUAnywhere text banking transactions to 35 cents per transaction The shared branching network said credit unions pay no set-up fees, no monthly maintenance fees and no minimum monthly usage fees. MyCUAnywhere offers mobile text banking capability to credit union members. Credit unions only pay per member transaction.

 

TransFirst Launches PayFox

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-TransFirst, a provider of transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, has launched PayFox, a mobile payment processing application that allows merchants to accept credit and signature debit card payments using an iPhone.

The application is available as a free download from Apple's App Store. PayFox can process Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit and signature debit cards. Merchants that have the iPhone 3G/3GS or iPhone 4 can use a cardreader that allows them to swipe customers' cards rather than key the card information manually. The application is incorporated into TransFirst's TransAction Central payment gateway.
