BRISTOL, Conn. Nutmeg State FCU opened a branch in a new Walmart Neighborhood Market, the first credit union in the area to have an in-store branch.

The credit union has locations in nine towns, including Rocky Hill, where its headquarters is located, New Britain and the Price Chopper in Newington.
The Walmart branch, with just 600 square feet of space, offers all the services that full-size branches do, the credit union said.
From now until Aug. 10, those who open a “More Than Free” checking account with the credit union with full direct deposit in the Bristol branch will receive $50.
