LANSING, Mich. – NuUnion CU reported yesterday it has implemented Proofpoint Inc.’s Messaging Security gateway to protect its communications systems from Spam and viruses, while preventing security breaches. The Proofpoint system automatically scans for personal financial information, such as Social Security numbers and credit card information, making it easy for the credit union to comply with data security regulations. NuUnion, formerly Michigan State Employees CU, has deployed the company’s Spam Detection, Virus Protection and Zero-Hour Anti-Virus modules.
