CO-OP Announces $7.5M Dividend

ONTARIO, Calif.-The CO-OP Network said it will make a patronage dividend to member/owners this year of $7.5 million, 7% more than last year's. "Despite an unsettled marketplace, CO-OP Network was able to return a record amount to its shareholders for the eighth consecutive year," said Robert Rose, president of the credit union-owned electronic funds transfer network. "What's most impressive is that we were also able to reduce pricing to save our overall membership an additional $5.9 million in 2003...Member credit unions should expect another price reduction later in the year."

COO Council Gets New Name

MADISON, Wis.-The CUNA Chief Operations Officer Council has changed its name to the CUNA Operations, Sales & Service Council. "The Council's executive committee concluded that the word "operations" was too diverse...and that there was a need to expand the name to mention other facets of the operations umbrella," said COSSC Chairman Vicki Smith.
