Open Solutions Acquires Online ArchivalCompany

GLASTONBURY, Ct. - (08/10/05) -- Open Solutions Inc. announcedTuesday it has acquired COWWW Software, a Belmont, Mass., providerof Web-based archiving, retrieval and document distributionservices for financial institutions, for about $8 million in cash.Both Open Solutions and COWWW Software have common software andcomplimentary technologies. COWWW Software, which derives its namethrough Computer Output to the World Wide Web, will become a whollyowned subsidiary of Open Solutions and operate as a separatebusiness, retaining its current management team.
