GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Option 1 CU said it is teaming with United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan to make it easier for people with disabilities to buy computers and equipment to work from home for an employer, or to start a home-based business.
The Michigan TeleWork Loan Fund will provide low-interest, fixed-rate loans to help finance equipment needed to work at home. Applicants must be individuals with disabilities, a parent or guardian of a person with a disability, or an employer of a person with a disability.
Equipment eligible to be purchased includes appliances, farming equipment, office furniture and computers. Loans also will be considered to make modifications to automobiles and homes.
There is no minimum for a TeleWork loan, but the maximum amount is $20,000.
