CORVALLIS, Ore. OSU FCU reported to police that more than $80,000 in fraudulent charges were made to members’ cards at stores throughout Oregon, Washington and California between June 8 and June 26.
The credit union told police it also denied another $73,000 in fraudulent charges.
None of the fraudulent purchases were made locally.
The credit union reported that numerous accounts were compromised and that the fraud was uncovered through members reporting fraudulent charges to OSU FCU.
