The carrots were sorted into 25-lb. boxes for food distribution sites in Santa Clara County; the event took place at the local Second Harvest Foodbank. The sorting of the 15,000 lbs of carrots surpassed the credit union’s previous carrot sorting record of 6,000 pounds by 20 employees.

According to Meriwest, the carrots are enough to serve 5,000 families in one month.
