SEWICKLEY, Penn. – PA HealthCare CU held a ‘Whole 9 Yards’ promotion yesterday for all of nine hours–offering a $999, 99-Day CD at 9% to commemorate the day 09/09/09.

In addition for 9 days, a 12-month CD was available at 2.09%. On the lending side, available is a five-year auto loan for 2009 or newer model years at 3.99%, and a 5-year home equity loan also at 3.99%.
The credit union celebrated last Sept. 8–08/08/08--with a ‘Crazy 8's’ promotion that paid 8% on selected CDs.
Almost 10% of the credit union’s membership pre-ordered the 9% CDs and the credit union also saw a 0.5% increase in new members within a month of the announcement of the promotion.
