VINELAND, N.J. – Police are searching for two con men who convinced an elderly woman in a Walmart parking lot to take them to her credit union and withdraw $7,000.
The woman was in the parking lot of a Walmart on May 25 when two men dressed in “business suit attire” approached her regarding a church donation, according to police. The men convinced the woman to withdraw $7,000 from Member 1st CU account, which they said they would match and donate to a church.
The woman gave the men the funds and they disappeared, authorities said.
