Patelco CU Joins CDCU For Low-Income Mission

SAN FRANCISCO – Patelco CU yesterday said it is opening a new shared branch in conjunction with Mission SF FCU in the center of the low-income Mission District.

The branch will house the community development credit union, its non-profit affiliate, Mission SF Community Financial Center, and its Youth Credit Union Program. The CDCU, which has $8 million in assets and 2,500 members, has run out of space in its offices in the third floor of a neighborhood building.

The city’s Mission District is teeming with foreign immigrants, most from Mexico or Central America.
