NORFOLK, Va. – A Virginia Beach man pleaded guilty Friday to participating in a scheme that used information stolen from emergency room patients to obtain more than $134,000 in fraudulent car loans from Navy FCU.

Jorge Silva-Davalos, 29, is the third person convicted in the scheme, which obtained $134,000 in loan checks from the credit union through online applications.
Earlier, an emergency room clerk at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center pleaded guilty to stealing patient data that was used in the scheme.
A car salesman at a Virginia Beach dealership was also charged with bank fraud in the scheme and has pleaded guilty.
