HARRISBURG, Pa. - (04/25/05) -- State officials last week notifiedresidents in five counties who receive court-ordered child orspousal support that they will begin receiving those payments ondebit cards. Recipients who do not get their payments deposited ina credit union or bank account will receive state issued EPPIcards.The cards, which are MasterCards issued by Comerica Bank ofDetroit, will allow recipients to by goods directly from retailersand get cash back or to tap their ATMs for cash. State officialsplans to expand the program to all 600,000 child andspousal-support recipients statewide by August.
