HARRISBURG, Penn. – Pennsylvania State Employees CU yesterday said members of Gannett Fleming Employees CU voted overwhelmingly Wednesday for the merger of the $3 million credit union into the state’s largest credit union.
The merger is the second in two months for the $2.9 billion credit union, following December’s acquisition of $9 million Rite Aid Employees CU.
The newest merger for the credit union giant is scheduled to be completed on May 1.
Gas prices are rising as a large swath of consumers are already under pressure, which could eventually affect demand for credit.
The share of American households considered "financially vulnerable" rose to 17%, the highest level since at least 2018, according to the nonprofit Financial Health Network.
