HARRISBURG, Penn. – Pennsylvania State Employees CU plans to break ground later this month on a 239,000-square-foot headquarters building that will accommodate as many as 750 of the credit union giant’s employees.
The $71 million project will be built on a 47-acre plot in Susquehanna Township, about two miles from the current offices for the $3.8 billion credit union. Completion of the project, one of the biggest credit union headquarters in the country, is slates for October 2013.
The offices will initially house 550 employees with room for another 200, but the property could be built out to accommodate as many as 1,500 people as growth requires.
