HARRISBURG, Penn. – State lawmakers Tuesday gave preliminary approval to a request to sell state-owned land outside the city to Pennsylvania State Employees CU for a new headquarters development. The $2.7 million sale of the 47-acre parcel is part of another bill that still must be approved by both the House and Senate. The new site, in nearby Susquehanna Township, is on farmland owned by the state agriculture department. Officials with the $2.5 billion credit union say they are rapidly running out of space at their 10-acre site by the armory in Harrisburg.
