ALEXANDRIA, Va. - (12/10/03) -- Pentagon FCU, the country'sthird-largest credit union, said Tuesday it has agreed to mergewith D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center FCU, the fourth creditunion it has acquired in the past 13 months. D.C. VAMC FCU is a $15million credit union that serves employees of the VeteransAdministration Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Pentagon FCU,which has grown to $5.9 billion in assets, merged last Decemberwith both Fort Shafter FCU and Coast Guard Employees FCU, and inMay with Fort Hood Military FCU.
