PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia FCU has unveiled a Bill of Rights theme to capture the nation’s populist mood and turn frustration with banks into a campaign to induce consumers to move their savings to the credit union.
The introductory video, found at BetterThanMyBank.com, was shot in front of historic Independence Hall and features a variety of people representing a broad demographic who recite a litany of concerns familiar to account holders of large banks. Each person proclaims "Enough!" and then declares a right, such as "I have a right to an education" and "I have a right to not be nickeled and dimed."
The PFCU Bill of Rights then appears, with each Amendment linked to Philadelphia CU benefits and videos of member testimonials to reinforce the message. Visitors have an opportunity to sign the Bill of Rights, enter a monthly contest to win $500, and sign up for an account.
