LIBERTY, S.C. – Pickens FCU is offering loans of up to $1,200 to Liberty Denim employees who lost their jobs last week.
The loans are to cover living and holiday expenses.
The denim plant closed Friday, leaving 185 workers jobless days before Christmas. Employees learned about the shutdown two days before it happened.
