WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Thirteen veterans will travel to Washington through the “Flight of Honor” program thanks to the fundraising of staff and members of Piedmont Advantage CU.
The credit union raised more than $6,500 in April and May to support the Flight of Honor effort, which pairs volunteers with veterans who fought in past wars to fly to the nation’s capital to visit war memorials.
Flights will take place in September and October, with Piedmont Advantage staff members accompanying veterans to serve as volunteers.
