WEST JORDAN, Utah — Police here are on the hunt for a man who allegedly displayed a bomb while robbing a branch of University First FCU here on Wednesday morning.
According to police, a man entered the CU's Redwood Road location at approximately 10:30 a.m. and displayed what he said was a bomb. He demanded money and threatened to detonate the bomb. The individual left the scene on a bicycle and was subsequently seen getting into an old, gray mini-van with Idaho plates a few blocks away.
The suspect was described as a white man with a tan complexion in his forties, wearing blue jeans and a red t-shirt. The amount of the robbery was not disclosed.
University First FCU — which does business as University CU — serves 82,000 members with $686 million in assets.
