HOUSTON - PrimeWay FCU rolled out a new advertising and marketing campaign introducing its own "Financial Freedom Fighters" to educate and market to members featuring everyday credit union personnel disguised as superheroes.
To launch the campaign in conjunction with International CU Day, PrimeWay had a superhero photo booth at several branches where members could take a picture as a Financial Freedom Fighter. It also released a trailer introducing the Financial Freedom Fighters on the website
"We wanted a fun way to engage, entertain and educate our members. Superheroes and comic books are a huge draw at the movies. Why not carry that theme to our credit union?" said Frank Bucci, marketing director for the $430 million institution.
Several comic book-style "webisodes" are also planned as part of the launch of the Financial Freedom Fighters in January.
