Empire Is 'Getting To Know You'

ALBANY, N.Y.-Following the opening of a check processing facility in Linthicum, Md., Empire Corporate FCU plans to host a series of "Get to Know Empire" credit union sessions.

The sessions will be held March 1, in Richmond, Va.; March 2, in Washington; March 3, in Baltimore; March 9, in Norfolk, Va., and March 10, in Roanoke, Va. Both morning and afternoon sessions are planned.

CUSO Tops $75 Million in MBLs

ALBANY, N.Y.-CU Business Group, the business lending CUSO jointly owned by Northwest Corporate in Oregon, FirstCorp in Arizona and Empire Corporate FCU in New York, said it has now topped $75 million in member business loans.

The CUSO has 48 credit union partners spread over 12 states.

"In the past few months, we have signed on with credit unions in New York, Rhode Island, Maine and Louisiana. It's clear that business services are important to credit unions across the country," noted Larry Middleman, CU Business Group's President/CEO.

BIS Expands Into Penn. Via Citadel

THORNDALE, Penn.-BIS Inc., a Holyoke, Mass.-based provider of turnkey insurance agency solutions for financial institutions, announced today that it has contracted to provide its insurance agency solution to Citadel Credit Union, here.

The Banc Insurance Service's end-to-end insurance agency solution allows a financial institution to own and operate an integrated insurance agency operation that features a full range of insurance coverages from an array of insurance carriers without the major capital investment or risks associated with building or buying a local agency.
