VolCorp Has 1st SimpliCD Investor

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Volunteer Corporate Credit Union (VolCorp) reported that FAA Federal Credit Union has become the first investor in its "SimpliCD" program. The certificate of deposit program offers investors access to federally insured CDs from issuers nationwide, helping to boost liquidity.

Meridian Link Completes Integration

COSTA MESA, Calif.-MeridianLink has completed integration of its LoansPQ Transaction Manager with Fannie Mae's automated underwriting system. "MeridianLink's LoansPQ is a cutting-edge online decisioning and lending solution designed to help financial institutions streamline their loan inquiry processes, significantly reducing their operating costs and improving the lending experience for their valued customers," the company said. A unique membership application module, called Xpress Membership, which links credit union membership inquiries simultaneously with automated loan pre-qualifications, is also being offered.

Alaska USA Acquires Broker

ANCHORAGE, Alaska-Through its CUSO, Alaska USA FCU is acquiring Ribelin Lowell and Co. Insurance Brokers, the largest independent and locally owned insurance brokerage in Alaska. Ribelin Lowell, with 70 employees, has locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Soldotna. The firm services a diversified book of personal (home, auto, boat) and business insurance throughout Alaska. Alaska USA has been offering insurance to members since 1986.

Bator, GLEP Partner On Trusts

NAPERVILLE, Ill.-Bator Training & Consulting, Inc. (BTC) has entered into a partnership with Great Lakes Estate Planning (GLEP) to provide trust services to credit unions. Oak Brook Terrace, Ill.-based GLEP will offer the service, while BTC will act as the marketing arm.

3 Oklahoma CUs Sell Portfolios

DALLAS-Three Oklahoma CUs have chosen TNB Card Services to provide full-service credit card processing to their members. Oklahoma Educators CU and The Focus FCU in Oklahoma City and Oil Capital Community CU in Tulsa converted their programs to TNB in May. The three credit unions represent approximately 23,000 members in total.
