MINNEAPOLIS – FICO Inc., provider of the ubiquitous credit score, said net income fell 27% for its fiscal second quarter to $13 million, as revenue fell across all three of its business segments.
Revenues dropped 10% to $143.7 million for the second quarter, with the company’s applications segment, which sells products related to marketing, fraud prevention and customer management, declining 12%; its scores division, which sells credit scoring products to businesses and consumers, slipping 5%; and its tools business, which sells business management software products, falling 9%.
For the first six months of the fiscal year FICO, formerly known as Fair Isaac & Co., reported a 9% decline in revenues, to $295.2 million; but a slight rise in net income to $30.7 million.
