SAN DIEGO - (12/13/04) -- A former real estate lender at NorthIsland Financial CU was sentenced to 33 months in jail forembezzling $918,000 from the credit union. Cynthia Reynolds, 23,pleaded guilty in August to one count of embezzlement. Reynolds,who had only been working at the credit union for a year, began inApril 2002 to steal money from the credit union's 'real estatesuspense account' and used the money for her ownbenefit.
