WASHINGTON – Members Trust Co.,Colorado announced Friday that banking regulators at the FDIC and Office of Thrift Supervision have approved its merger into the national MEMBERS Trust Co. The two bank regulators have jurisdiction over all trust companies, even those owned by credit unions, like these two. After completion of the merger, Members Trust Colorado will survive as the western division of the national credit union trust co. MEMBERS Trust, a joint venture between CUNA Mutual Group and more than two dozen credit unions, will manage $400 million in assets after the combination.
