BILLINGS, Mont. – From a fistful of dollars in a car trunk, Rimrock CU has come a long way. The $26 million credit union is building a new headquarters, more than doubling its current 2,400 square-feet of space. The 6,300-foot office is slated for completion in January. The credit union was founded in 1949 to serve Billings firefighters. The 16 original members pooled a total of $63.11 and the credit union run out of the trunk of the president’s car. Three mergers brought the credit union to its present size, serving almost 5,000 members.
