Robbery Is More Than An Act For PoliceChief’s Son

ROCKLAND, Mass. - (07/08/05) -- The photo of Kevin Donovan posing inhandcuffs with men appearing to be local police officers in frontof a police cruiser was meant to be a joke promoting the band ofthe police chief’s son. But now the promo appears to be morethan a joke as the chief’s 34-year-old offspring is wantedfor a string of armed robberies, including Tuesday’s hold-upat HarborOne CU, last week’s robbery at Crescent CU, and aheist at Rockland Trust two weeks ago. Bank robbery appears to be alittle more than a passing fancy for the troubled lead singer ofGun Dog, who served three-and-a-half years in prison on federalbank robbery charges. Authorities said the fugitive’slikeness, with clearly identifiable tattoos, was visible on thesurveillance video after Tuesday hold-up.
