Robert Harms named new CEO of Western Division FCU

Western Division Federal Credit Union, a $143 million-asset institution based in Williamsville, N.Y., has promoted Robert W. Harms from chief financial officer to president/CEO.

According to Denise Ligammare, marketing manager at Western Division FCU, said Harms succeeds Craig Mellenthien, who retired after 23 years at the credit union. Harms, she added, had served as CFO for the past fourteen years.

Harms brings more than 31 years of banking and accounting experience to his new position. He holds a BS in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y.

According to its call reports, Western Division FCU posted net income of about $669,000 in 2016, after recording net income of about $970,000 in the prior year.
