Roberts Charged in Credit Union Robbery

TALLAHASEE, Fla. – A 24-year-old man desperate to pay his bills was arrested last week and charged with an armed robbery at Tallahassee Memorial CU. Police said Steffano Roberts used the ill-gotten cash to pay his rent and insurance bills. Roberts was arrested after a dye pack exploded in the bag of cash and was police said he scrubbed his hands raw to try to erase the telltale signs of the hold-up. A gun believed used in the robbery was also recovered.
