SECU Helps Transform County Jail To Transitional Housing

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Officials opened a new transitional housing project for recent parolees that was funded by a 0% loan from State Employees’ CU’s SECU Foundation.

The 46-bed Marvin E. Roberts II Transitional Living Facility was converted from the New Hanover County Jail Annex.

The facility is one of two transitional housing projects opened this week with 0% SECU financing. The other is a 150-bed housing facility for substance abusers in Durham known as the James Street Group Living Dormitories.
