State Employees' Credit Union and Latino Community Credit Union have been awarded a $25,000 grant from the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions . The grant was awarded due to the combined efforts of SECU and LCCU personnel in the creation and growth of the Latino CCU. In the four years since the Durham, N.C.-based Latino Community was chartered, it has grown to five branches and $18-million in assets and more than 27,000 members, growth it has credited to State Employees Credit Union.
