EUGENE, Ore. – SELCO Community CU converted its Gateway Financial Center to a movie theatre for tomorrow night’s viewing of 40 entries in the credit union’s Your Big Break contest, where members were asked to design their own commercials for their credit union.
The top three entries, as decided by an online poll of members, will split $10,000 in prizes–with the top entry taking home $5,000, as well as having the commercial aired on local television.
SELCO’s marketing team will also recognize other "Director’s Picks," which will be receiving small cash awards.
The invitation-only Your Big Break premier will feature theatre-style refreshments, a chance for credit union staff and volunteers to meet the entrants, and a full screening of all the commercials.
More than 2,500 votes were received for the 10 finalists on the selco.org website.
