EUGENE, Ore. – SELCO Community CU said it has opened a second Lending Outlet, a subsidiary operation that offers consumer loans and other services aimed at low-income people.
In addition to assisting walk-in customers, the Lending Outlet partners with local retailers and home-improvement companies to provide their customers with in-store financing. The Lending Outlet can assist retailers in all types of businesses, from barbecue and furniture dealers to flooring and roofing contractors.
It also offers free credit-counseling services and other support for customers who need additional help in managing or establishing good credit.
The newest outlet is located in the Marketplace West Shopping center in west Eugene, while the original one, opened in 2006, is in the Olympic Building in Springfield. The first outlet reached a book of business of $10 million this summer, after being opened for just 26 months.
