PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Service CU announced this morning its U.S. members can now pay bills and transfer funds in Euros with its Euro Bill Pay, an online-only feature allowing them to initiate transfers from their credit union checking account to European banks in Eurocurrency.
“Our members in Germany have been using the Euro Bill Pay service for years and they find it safe, fast and simple to use,” said Gordon Simmons, president of the $2.2 billion credit union.
Service CU’s Euro Bill Pay automatically converts U.S. dollars to Euros. Members can use it to pay their bills or a vendor or send money to a family member living overseas.
The service can be used to request payments on a one-time or recurring basis. Members and business members can pay bills in Euro across more than 30 countries.
Euro Bill Pay is available through the credit union’s online banking site and through its mobile web site by keying in mobile.servicecu.org.
