The Ohio Division of Financial Institutions has approved expansion by $523-million Seven Seventeen Credit Union here into Canton, Jackson, Lake, Nimishillen, and Plain Townships.
"We occasionally had to turn people down for membership because we were unable to qualify them with our charter as it existed," said CEO Gary Soukenik. The 47-year-old credit union serves 75,000 members.
