Lino Lakes, Minn.-based core processing provider Sharetec System on Thursday said BCBST (BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee) Employees Credit Union has converted to the Sharetec core processing solution.
The $10.9 million credit union operates two branches in Chattanooga, Tenn. "The credit union wanted to significantly improve its overall efficiency and member-facing technology," BCBST said in a statement.
BCBST Employees Credit Union began operating in January 1972 with 452 members and $4,766 in shares. After more than four decades of service, membership has increased to nearly 2,800 with total assets exceeding $10 million. BCBST Employee Credit Union currently has five employees operating in its two locations.
Sharetec System, a provider of both in-house and service bureau core solutions, serves nearly 300 credit unions after posting 67% growth since 2000.
