Site Makes It Easier for Members to Find a CU

LIVONIA, Mich.-League InfoSight has revamped www.FindACreditUnion.com to help CUs further capitalize on consumers' flight to safety.

The national online credit union finder offers a number of new features that make it easier for individuals to locate a CU that meets their needs. League InfoSight Chief Operating Officer Todd Mason explained that consumers can still find nearby credit unions by entering only their zip code in the search tool, but they also have the option to narrow their search by credit union membership affiliation, and they can generate Google maps of search results. "The sight now includes information about the credit union difference, as well," Mason said.

Mason contended that the overhaul will help CUs further capitalize on all the positive media coverage credit unions are receiving and drive growth. The site was sold by the California CU League to League InfoSight to "gain as near universal league adoption and support of FACU as possible," Mason said. The website currently supports over 30 leagues across the U.S.

Re-launched Jan. 1, www.findacreditunion.com had been receiving about 17,000 unique visitors reach month, according to Mason, who predicted that number will increase.

League InfoSight is a collaborative venture owned by the California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania credit union leagues and the League of South Eastern Credit Unions. It is managed by CU Village, a technology and marketing company owned by 18 credit union and credit-union-related organizations.
