Sound CU Reaps $10 Million Merger Dividend With Sale Of Old HQ

SEATTLE – Sound CU has sold the old headquarters of Watermark CU, the Seattle-based credit union it acquired through merger last year to create a $1.1 billion regional giant.

The 43,888-square-foot building, 1929 building was sold to a local developer for $9.7 million, or about $221 per square foot.

The Watermark building was sold after Sound CU merged with Watermark last year and closed the Seattle administrative offices, while moving all of those functions to Sound CU’s Tacoma headquarters.
