- TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (02/07/01) -- William Birdwellhas been named president/CEO of the $1.7-billion SoutheastCorporate FCU here. Birdwell, currently chief operating officer atWesCorp FCU, will succeed James Taylor, who will retire June 30after a 45-year credit union career. Prior to working for WesCorp,Birdwell headed Volunteer Corporate CU (VolCorp) in Tennessee.Taylor began his credit union career in 1956 as a director forMonsanto Employees FCU.
